This year the FIRST Robotics Competition game was REBUILT, presented by the Gene Haas Foundation. REBUILT is a two team, three-bot game that challenges teams to climb and score fuel (game balls). The field has three zones, two team zones on the extremities with a neutral zone in the middle. Teams can score points by shooting or alternatively throwing fuel in the hub scoring tower during hub-active periods. Fuel is collected from the neutral zone or alternatively sourced by the depot found in each team zone. Teams may also score points by having their robot climb a ladder tower.
Spectre Swerve Drive Modules MK3.5 is a revised and upgraded version of last year's system. By switching to straight-cut gears, we've increased the drivetrain's efficiency and durability, minimizing backlash and optimizing power transfer under load. Coupled with a raised final drive ratio, the MK3.5 achieves superior speed and torque, enabling faster and more responsive maneuvering. We've also manufactured Volk Racing TE37 Styled wheel hubs, not only enhancing aesthetics but also improving the overall strength and reliability of the drive system. Every component of the SSDM MK3.5 is custom-machined in-house using HAAS CNC mills and lathes, ensuring each piece meets our exacting standards for precision, quality, and performance. This in-house machining process allows us to maintain tight tolerances and a level of control that is critical to delivering a top-tier product.
